image Power is always an underrated element when someone is evaluating the performance of a home theater system, a commercial-grade data network or anything in between.

Tripp Lite's new line of Hot-Swap Power Distribution Units (PDUs) are uninterruptable power supplies (UPS) that electronics professionals can use in the field to service a variety of installation scenarios that require backup protection.

The line of products includes five models that offer a choice of volt-amps up to 3,000VA. Tripp Lite says the units offer installers the ability to hot swap units for maintenance or complete replacement without having to take an entire system offline. The products are 2U high in 2- or 4-post racks, and Tripp Lite says the products can also be rear-post mounted to save space.

image Tripp Lite's newly released Compact IP Console Servers provide installers with the ability to create a single access point on a network to perform system updates, routine maintenance procedures and other trouble shooting services.

The devices are compatible with components like servers, routers, switches and firewalls equipped with RJ45 or DB9 serial ports, and their small size enables the units to be used in conjunction with nearly any system without taking up much rack space.

One of the Console Server products' most useful features is its embedded heat sensors. The sensors can be set up to transmit an off-site system's environmental condition status to enable a CE Pro to take corrective measures before a product over heats and fails.

image Adding to its ever growing line of products, SnapAV has just introduced its AniWareBox series of digital video/audio over Cat-5 devices.

SnapAV engineered the products, which measure less than one-inch tall to fit into small spaces that include within a wall and equipment racks.
